iconIntro to cheer

This class is designed to teach the basic technique needed for tumbling as well as other cheerleading skills.  In this class athletes will work on jump technique, cartwheels, round-offs, handstands, and the proper technique for a back handspring. In order for the athlete to move on to cheer 1 they must demonstrate the following skills:

handstand

cartwheel (no spot)

round-off (no spot)

 

 

iconCheer 1: Back handspring class

This class is designed to teach the basic gymnastics technique needed to achieve a standing back handspring and a round-off back handspring.  In order for the athlete to move to cheer 2 they must demonstrate the following skills:

Standing back handspring (no spot)

Round-off back handspring (no spot)

iconCheer 2: Basic Tumbling

This class is designed to further the development of an athlete to achieve skills such as multiple back handsprings in succession, and to teach the basics of a back tuck.  In order for an athlete to move to cheer 3 they must demonstrate the following skills:

Standing 2 back handsprings connected

Round-off back handspring back tuck (light spot)

iconCheer 3: Intermediate Tumbling

This class is designed to further the advancement of an athlete to achieve such skills such as multiple back handsprings to a back tuck. Athletes will also focus on techniques to learn or improve a standing tuck.  In order for athlete to move to Cheer 4 they must demonstrate the following skills:

Round-off back handspring back tuck

Standing tuck

 

iconCheer 4: Advanced Tumbling

This class is designed for the more advanced tumblers. Athletes will focus on skills such as a layout. We will also begin to teach the mechanics of twisting with the goal being a full twisting Layout (“full”).  In order for an athlete to move to cheer 5, they must demonstrate the following skills:

 Mechanics of a full twisting layout

 Toe-touch back tucks

 

iconCheer 5: Elite Tumbling

This class is designed for our elite athletes. We will focus on the most advanced skills we can perform within the USASF safety guidelines, such as a full twisting layout , double fulls, and multiple bounding skills. 

 

iconFlyers stretching class

Flexibility is essential to flying.  To excel at stunting, flyers must be able to perform all body positions, and when stunting at an elite level flyers need to be able to execute extreme body positions.   These classes will teach athletes how to stretch properly and help them to maximize their flying potential. 

 

iconCheer Technique

 This class is perfect for athletes looking to improve their skills or get ready for an upcoming tryout.  In this 60 minute class we will be going over motions, jumps, choreography, performance and any other aspects of cheer that don't involve tumbling or stunting.  It is very important for an athlete to not only be able to stunt and tumble, but to also be strong in the other aspects of cheerleading.  This class will help make your athlete the total package for whatever cheerleading squad  they are looking to be a part of this coming Season!

iconOpen Gym

Open Gym is designed for all athletes to come in and work on skills in our new state of the art facility. There is an instructor present for spotting and critique, however open gym is less structured than a class.

iconBasic Tumbling (3 & 4 Year Olds)

This class is designed to teach the basic technique needed for tumbling.  The athletes will be working on cartwheels, round-offs, handstands and the proper technique for a back handspring.
