Stunt Clinics

Group Stunting Clinic
During this clinic we will be stunting in groups of 4 athletes. Athletes will be divided into flyers, bases and back spots by instructors and placed into groups according to age and skill level.

Partner Stunting Clinic
During this Clinic we will be working building skills that are single or double based. This is an advanced stunting clinic; all athletes registered should already have extensive basing and/or flying experience. If your athlete is normally a base, they will be basing at this clinic.

Basket Toss Technique
The Basket Toss Technique Clinic is for bases and flyers to help learn how to use the property technique while throwing a basket, to make our basket tosses as high as possible! During this clinic we will be doing drills and throwing straight ride baskets.
THIS IS NOT A CLINIC TO LEARN SPINNING OR TRICK BASKETS!

Intermediate Basket Toss Clinic
The Intermediate Basket Toss Clinic is for bases and flyer to learn how to do trick baskets with single skills. Some examples are: toe-touch, pike-arch and a 360 basket. Athletes will be expected to execute a good straight ride toss during their warm up. Athletes unable to perform this skill will be directed to a more appropriate clinic.

Advanced Basket Toss Clinic
The Advanced Basket Toss Clinic is for bases and flyer to learn how to do trick baskets with multiple skills. Some examples are: kick full, kick double and hitch kick double. Athletes will be expected to execute a 360 basket toss during their warm up. Athletes unable to perform this skill will be directed to a more appropriate clinic.

Conditioning Clinics

In order for athlete to be able to execute perfect form in their tumbling, they must have a strong core and be in great physical shape! Throughout the season we don’t always have enough time to condition the athletes the way we’d like to. These clinic will help teach athletes exercises they can do at home to improve their jumps, tumbling and stunting skills.

Intense Cardio Conditioning Clinic
The Intense Cardio Conditioning Clinic is open to athletes of all levels! During this session athletes will learn how to properly warm-up their bodies and stretch their muscles, in addition to getting a very intense cardiovascular workout.

Rubber Band Exercise Clinic
The Rubber Band Exercise Clinic is open to athletes of all levels! During this session athletes will learn exercises involving rubber bands that they will be able to easily do at home!

Core Training Clinic
The Core Training Clinic is open to athletes of all levels! During this session athletes will learn how to properly warm-up their bodies and stretch their muscles, in addition to getting a great workout. Core strength is vital to an athlete’s tumbling! Without a strong core, athletes cannot force their bodies to hit the proper positions in their tumbling, such as hollow and arch.

Jump and Motion Technique Clinic

This clinic will focus on the technique which GymTyme uses in our jumps and motions. Gyms from different areas use different technique in their jumps and this clinic will help your athlete feel confident at the time of their evaluation that they’ll be doing things the “GymTyme Way”.

Tumbling Clinics

Cartwheel, Round-off and Handstand Clinic
This clinic is designed to focus on the proper technique of cartwheels, round-offs and handstands. Cartwheels, round-offs and handstands are the base of all tumbling. Without the power of a strong round-off it is impossible to have a strong tumbling pass. Olympic gymnasts even go back and work on their round-offs to ensure they get the most power possible throughout their tumbling.

Back Walkover Clinic
This clinic is designed to focus on the proper technique of a back walk over. We will be working on back flexibility as well as stomach muscle strength during this clinic as well as doing back bend kick overs.

Back Handspring Clinic
This clinic is designed for athletes to learn and master the proper technique of a back handspring. Athletes registered for this clinic must be able to do a solid cartwheel, round-off and handstand. Any athlete that cannot perform these skills during the warm-up will be directed to a more appropriate clinic for their skill level.

Any athlete that cannot execute this skill in the warm-up will be directed to a clinic that is more appropriate for their skill level.
